How does a vacuum stirring emulsifier work?

The working process of a vacuum stirring emulsifier involves four coordinated stages:
  1. Vacuum Environment Establishment: Before processing, the vacuum system evacuates the air inside the sealed mixing tank to form a stable negative pressure environment (usually -0.06 to -0.095 MPa). This prevents air from being mixed into the material during subsequent operations and removes existing air bubbles in the raw materials.
  2. Material Feeding & Stirring: The raw materials (such as water phase, oil phase, and additives) are added to the tank in sequence. The stirring system (usually composed of anchor stirrers, paddle stirrers, or frame stirrers) rotates at a low to medium speed to drive the overall circulation of the material, ensuring that different phases are initially mixed evenly and avoiding local concentration of materials.
  3. Shear Emulsification: The high-speed homogenizing emulsification system (rotor-stator structure) starts to work, generating strong mechanical shear force, impact force, and cavitation effect. This force breaks down large particles or droplets in the material into tiny sizes (0.1–5 micrometers), making the dispersed phase uniformly distributed in the continuous phase to form a stable emulsion.
  4. Temperature Control & Post-Processing: The temperature control system (usually double-jacket structure) adjusts the material temperature to the optimal processing range (e.g., 60–85℃ for cosmetic emulsification) by heating or cooling. After emulsification is completed, the vacuum is released, and the finished product is discharged.
