How to perform routine maintenance on shear mixing emulsifiers?

Routine maintenance focuses on extending equipment life and ensuring stable performance, including daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance:

Daily Maintenance

  • Clean the material tank, rotor-stator, and discharge port after operation to avoid material residue and cross-contamination. Use neutral cleaning agents and rinse with pure water.
  • Check the seal for leakage and wipe the equipment surface to keep it clean.
  • Record operational parameters (rotational speed, temperature, running time) for traceability.

Weekly Maintenance

  • Check the tightness of the rotor-stator connection bolts and tighten them if loose.
  • Inspect the motor and VFD for abnormal noise or overheating, and clean the heat dissipation holes.
  • Check the lubricating oil level of the drive system and add lubricating oil if necessary (use lubricating oil that meets the manufacturer’s requirements).

Monthly Maintenance

  • Disassemble the rotor-stator assembly to check for wear, corrosion, or deformation. Replace damaged parts in time.
  • Inspect the mechanical seal for wear or leakage, and replace the seal ring if necessary.
  • Calibrate the temperature sensor, pressure gauge, and other instruments to ensure accurate measurement.
Note: Maintenance should be performed when the equipment is powered off and the tank is empty. Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance manual for professional operations (such as rotor-stator replacement).
